While staying home was a necessity during the pandemic, it made us realize how much fun an at-home celebration can be—and luckily, it's easy to plan a gathering from the comfort of your couch. The band has changed a lot since it started in 1922, and both veteran players enjoy today’s pops-style programs, as opposed to a steady diet of operettas and military marches. Wandering the hallways, we passed artwork created by school kids, prints of various Bucks players and a deer statue named Buckley. People tend to have a lot of expectations for New Year's Eve. It's a night meant for merry revelry and final indulgences before the clock resets for a brand new year, after all. Because Dec. 31 is designated a night of celebration, you may feel compelled to go out on the town to a restaurant serving New Year's Eve dinner, a bustling bar or to a house party. However, we are here to tell you that going out on New Year's Eve is massively overrated, and there are a lot of good reasons why you should just stay in and celebrate in the comfort of your own home.

And I can certainly appreciate the appeal of playing college hoops on an NBA court, with an impressive locker room in the heart of Fiserv Forum. Now that our Bucks are NBA champions, and more and more people have learned how to pronounce “Antetokounmpo,” those days of half-empty arenas and cheap tickets are long gone.

There’s no peeling off SPANX or control top hose later in the evening which is never pretty– especially after some adult beverages.
